I remember when it was AON and we were having some confusion with our lines because the SM peeps were basically *sabog* and being snotty towards the fans, I never experienced being accomodated like this before. I had missed the capsules going up because of the poor organization skills of the Alive Tour local prod company and so I was still traumatized by that. For me I would rather push my way into the doors than not get my money's worth. But I was surprised when a lady came in to fix the line. I have never seen her before in person sans SNS. I have only heard about her from my ELF dongsaengs. That was the first time I saw Inang Reyna up-close.
I have been to Epik High's concert too. I was one of those extremely lucky fans whose life as a fan would be changed. I didn't have money to watch the concert, so I joined a contest which I didn't win. I joined another contest which I knew I would never win to help out with hyping for the concert (coz that is what dutiful Ygstans did at that time). Then I got a ticket from EPIK HIGH PH (thanks a mill) and my friend won a high-touch event for me and a couple of other people. And I was there, hands high up in the air watching Tablo,Tukutz and Mithra. I got a group picture that would be etched in my heart. My very first ever high-touch and it was for free! Take note there were also team bahay people there but no one gatecrashed the concert and they got a price for it. Tablo came out to greet them. Epik indeed. ^.^
Then came the mother load. MADE TOUR in MANILA. I promised myself that I would watch this up-close since the Alive Tour really did a number on me. I had enough money for a LB ticket but I found out that my two dongsaengs couldn't go. So I pooled money with other friends to have 5 out of 6 Ygstan friends (we met through 2ne1 - one had exams so she couldn't go) go to the concert with GEN AD tickets. The same ticket I had when I was in Alive Tour. Only this time, I got to choose excellent seats. When we got to the concert (my other dongsaengs BikBaeng got to watch too since they performed during the ticket day and the BigBang fiesta) it was a celebration of how wonderful our biases were but I (as a person who was a part of productions in my younger days) could see people I knew and seen in other concerts working really hard to get the fans an experience unlike any other. I felt very proud of them. Made in Manila could have suffered like the other stops where there were no full stage design. But I will never be able to be grateful enough that Happee Sy made sure that we had the full Made experience.
The price of taking on something as huge as a concert is daunting. Nothing is going to go perfectly. But I wouldn't think twice in going to another Pulp produced Kpop concert or event if I can afford it. I didn't fill up my KPOP passport but darn it, I have it with me as a reminder of their hard work and mine. I will work hard to save up and get myself the best experience I can afford. Because these things do not come cheap. It's not just the money that comes in, the countless hours and effort can not be accounted for. And for that I am, as a fan, eternally grateful to Happee Sy
