I remember when it was AON and we were having some confusion with our lines because the SM peeps were basically *sabog* and being snotty towards the fans, I never experienced being accomodated like this before. I had missed the capsules going up because of the poor organization skills of the Alive Tour local prod company and so I was still traumatized by that. For me I would rather push my way into the doors than not get my money's worth. But I was surprised when a lady came in to fix the line. I have never seen her before in person sans SNS. I have only heard about her from my ELF dongsaengs. That was the first time I saw Inang Reyna up-close.
I have been to Epik High's concert too. I was one of those extremely lucky fans whose life as a fan would be changed. I didn't have money to watch the concert, so I joined a contest which I didn't win. I joined another contest which I knew I would never win to help out with hyping for the concert (coz that is what dutiful Ygstans did at that time). Then I got a ticket from EPIK HIGH PH (thanks a mill) and my friend won a high-touch event for me and a couple of other people. And I was there, hands high up in the air watching Tablo,Tukutz and Mithra. I got a group picture that would be etched in my heart. My very first ever high-touch and it was for free! Take note there were also team bahay people there but no one gatecrashed the concert and they got a price for it. Tablo came out to greet them. Epik indeed. ^.^
Then came the mother load. MADE TOUR in MANILA. I promised myself that I would watch this up-close since the Alive Tour really did a number on me. I had enough money for a LB ticket but I found out that my two dongsaengs couldn't go. So I pooled money with other friends to have 5 out of 6 Ygstan friends (we met through 2ne1 - one had exams so she couldn't go) go to the concert with GEN AD tickets. The same ticket I had when I was in Alive Tour. Only this time, I got to choose excellent seats. When we got to the concert (my other dongsaengs BikBaeng got to watch too since they performed during the ticket day and the BigBang fiesta) it was a celebration of how wonderful our biases were but I (as a person who was a part of productions in my younger days) could see people I knew and seen in other concerts working really hard to get the fans an experience unlike any other. I felt very proud of them. Made in Manila could have suffered like the other stops where there were no full stage design. But I will never be able to be grateful enough that Happee Sy made sure that we had the full Made experience.
The price of taking on something as huge as a concert is daunting. Nothing is going to go perfectly. But I wouldn't think twice in going to another Pulp produced Kpop concert or event if I can afford it. I didn't fill up my KPOP passport but darn it, I have it with me as a reminder of their hard work and mine. I will work hard to save up and get myself the best experience I can afford. Because these things do not come cheap. It's not just the money that comes in, the countless hours and effort can not be accounted for. And for that I am, as a fan, eternally grateful to Happee Sy

Reply 2016 : Checklist
Iz all about notebooks and planners this Christmasuh~
We just finished our office Xmas lunch (Thank God we didn't have the whole xmas party shiz, I had enough from the last family-slash-clan reunion last 19th) and my team member was the one who got me the girly notebooks. Luckily my monita wanted a planner and so I got one for myself too. No more DIY planner - I didn't get to use it much in 2015 so I am keeping one that is not easily wet or too thick. ^^ I got a giant notebook planner to write deadlines and birthdays (especially video bday deadlines and such)
Word for 2016 : Checklist
Since I love making lists and there has been a bad habit of mine that things that I list down never gets done, I plan to make 2016 all about checking off things in my checklist may it be To-Do Lists or Shopping lists or my 2016 Priority List. ^^ I have made a habit out of being lazy and I think that is really not how someone who is about to get checked of the calendar should be. ^.^
So I hope things would work well this year. I won't have resolutions except to try hard to get things I have listed down done. Since lists drive me craycray when they are not finished I think it would be a great motivation.
2016 is going to be a WINNER in more ways than 5! ^.~
<3 Merry Christmas YG Family and dongsaengs and chingus!
Have a productive 2016!

YG Family Protocol
I am Pinaywriter and I am YGstan.
I have struggled with being a YGstan what with the delays and the original merchs and such.
Before I begin this I would like to say this is just my opinion, not yours or any collective.
So if you want to do ad hominem or berate one member of the YG family and the fandom, just stop reading.
What I am about to say is highly unpopular these days which is odd because it was what made me love YG family artists and its many fandoms within the fandom in the first place.
Our is not a perfect family.
Our appa has his favorites. He admits to this in his actions and his children know this and show it.
Some have been hurt, other have chosen to leave but what remains is the example that the members of the YG family always showed the fans, that they would keep being part of the family long after they leave and that the members of the family would continue to support each other even if fans and fandoms pit them against each other.
I am a VIP and we know how big Big Bang is now.
But before VIPs were not that thick in the ground. We were a bit of a minority for a bit and it was only through the hard work of the VIPs from the past to the present and the patience we had to INVEST in supporting Big Bang that we have them still at almost a decade still making themselves globally and locally (South Korea) relevant. If there are VIPs reading this I am sure you know about the history, full of challenges and struggles. And this is because we have accepted one thing about Big Bang. That the members are human. They make mistakes, they hurt others, they hurt themselves, they hurt fans, they hurt their company, their family and they are often lost and misled by emotions, fame and money. But at the core of all that, they have each other. To forgive each other, to support each other and to not give up on one another.
I am a Blackjack. And there was once a time that YG said they would be the female Big Bang. This caused so many VIPs to hate 2NE1 in the beginning. But they were able to see how Big Bang supported and loved 2NE1 members like family and maybe even more. And they realized that YG family is YG family and that they would have to get with the program. As 2NE1 proved to be a monster rookie even more on FIRE than Big Bang was during their rookie days, though there were days when the VIPs and Blackjacks didn't get along, soon after VIPs who were looking for a female group to admire, started to soften up to the charisma of 2NE1.
New artists came into YG and became trainees and artists started to come out and become more and more known not just in Korea but in the world. As YG's vision of a global company and artists going to other countries to represent Korean popular music went hand in hand with technological advances, he used it for media play that he thought would work out into the world.
His tactics were never bulletproof and VIPs, BJs and YGstans had to develop a keen sense of "Is this legitimate?" they coordinated with their Korean counterparts and relied heavily on international fans to get the news out to the world. Translators and fansites became a refuge for the confused members of the fandoms. The fans learned how to bond with each other from all across the globe in forums, sites and now social networking sites.
YGE values innovation. They started the fierce era, the houte couture era and then the survival show era. And that is where the story of the YG family era comes to a close.
The Who is Next marketing strategy piqued the ninja skills of all YGstans and even non YGstans were hooked on it. They found out that watching trainees' development was both entertaining and lucrative. But little did we know that it would cause a rift that would never ever be repaired.
As it is I call the years after WIN, where Team A became WINNER as the aWIN or After WHO IS NEXT years.
It wasn't all bad but the YG Family protocol was compromised during the WIN survival show. The theories got darker and the hurt feelings and fanwars were not between YGstans vs other fandoms from towns and entertainments. It now reverted to an inward battle.
A rivalry that was unlike any other. A trainee war.
It was what brought up the changes that we have now.
I am not blaming anyone. Okay I am lying. I am blaming YG.
He caused all this. Because drama is lucrative, it keeps the tension up and that is what YGstans always react to. VIPs and BJs use the tension and re-chart songs, do twitter campaigns, flood YGE with emails and until recently, make projects that would be in the name of the artist. The same things are still being used today since fans are fans and the methods have been passed on from sunbae fans to hoobae fans.
But a growing discontent, first with iKONICS and later with INNER CIRCLE fans could not be cured by the YG Family protocol. We have aWIN era when being a multi-fandom is more common that being a pure YGstan. Being a pure YGstan was seen as almost impossible and archaic at this time. YGstans would be defensive against multifandoms and vice versa.
So the new silent YGstan protocol emerged. Pure YGstans now have to be the watchers and the guardians. They no longer speak to preach or to solicit the support of the members of IC and iKONIC fandoms. We must keep our personal opinions in our walls, within our group chats and show support regardless of who reads our words.
We have to use the covert methods of starting multiple groups where there is very little overlap with each fandom within the YG Family.
WE HAVE BECOME LIKE THE OTHERS. And I think that is totally fucked up.
And it is not just YG's fault with his blasted media play and his interviews.
It is now how we as fans read the translated words.
I would often read a post with pure bile then the link for an article.
I read the article and saw absolutely NOTHING that can trigger such vile remarks.
And that was when I realized, we read between the lines using our own prejudice.
And that is where we fail to see what YG family protocol is all about.
It's not to BLINDLY support YG and YG artists.
It is to show them respect, to show their fans respect.
YES, EVEN WHEN THEY DO NOT RESPECT US.
Because we are YGstans. WE *bleep*-ing know better.
I am proud to be a YGstan.
I am among the most intelligent, loving and supportive mofos in KPOPLANDIA.
Surely I can't support YG artists as openly as I did before.
But I would gladly compartmentalize to keep people from fighting.
I would not force the YG Family protocol to anyone ever again.
Because a true YGstan will find his or her own way.
And we would find ourselves in YG concert, YG events, gathering and groups offline and online.
Being a YGstan has changed. It is not just all about YG now.
YGstans are YGbiased fans who still know how to listen to good music from outside the family. They show their YG level love to others and it draws people to them.
The true mark of a decent fan is not being part of a Voting group or a protection squad.
It is not the fact that we want to BEAT other groups and get trophies.
It is when you can say "I got this friend of mine to listen to (insert YG artist here) and she says that the song was awesome."
It is when you TURN other fans into fans of YG artists that you can say you are a YGstan.
It is when you can listen and support and not speak ill of the YG artists who work equally as hard as your UB that you can call yourself a DECENT FAN.
Crab mentality is not part of the YG Family protocol.
If you don't think you can prevent yourself from doing that, please feel free to continue supporting your UB but do not make the YG family or any of its many decent members feel like shit because we choose to support as hard as we are doing it now.
As for the born haters and sickos in our YG Family, don't worry about them. YG family are full of patient CLEANERS. They would fall out when a scandal or a bad thing comes up. Then we can shrug them off and kill them off, like ticks on a dog.
Prepare yourself for 2016.
The YG Family protocol will be put to the test.
Choose your UB. Support who you love. But do not forget that RESPECT IS KEY in the YG Family.
This has been Pinaywriter. I am Blackjack VIP who is a member of the INNER CIRCLE and is iKONIC. I am a YGstan. I pray for all the artists and work hard to support them. Always.

Which Fan are you? #YearEndVotingEdition
Which Fan are you? #YearEndVotingEdition
a) FMF - Frantic Mathematician Fan
The kind of fan who is obsessed with percentages, gaps, votes needed to catch up.
They tend to be a bit more panicky than others and worry (even dream) about the other fandoms voting while they are sleeping.
They often calculate how many # of votes there would approximately be when they wake up or per hour/day.
They can make projections that are very useful to voting admins and other voting-centric fans.
They are motivating to a point since fans from the fandom know a ballpark number of how much more votes are needed.
Their updates can encourage other voters to attack at a crucial time.
Their updates are not for the faint of heart.
b) CHF - Cheerleader HWAITING fan
They are very positive and they post things that post about throwback stuff that would encourage other members of the fandom to vote.
They are the ones who try to pacify the FMF when they are going FULL MENDUNG MODE.
c) FMMF - Full Mendung Mode Fan
This is an escalated version of the FMF.
Some fans start in this level especially when they are frustrated about something (in the voting system or their own life - it is a factor ^^)
Their FULL Mendung Mode is catching so be careful not to get caught up their tornado of negafeels.
If you see a fan like this, send them a fandom hug. THEY NEED IT.
Or a link to a funny BTS video. THEY NEED A BREAK.
d) ZVF - Zombie Vampire Fans

They are the fans who never seem to sleep.
They are often the fanbases and fb accounts that have more than one OP (operating person).
As for Zombie fans they can vote for days on end without sleep.
As for Vampire fans, they are active once the night sets. They are the ones who vote from Mass voting time til reset time.
Vampire fans are energetic and a great source of information since they would be able to vote and accommodate questions even at the dead of the night.
They coffin out of SNS and voting at around 4am or before first light. ^.^
e) Born Haters
Disclaimer : If you are fun-loving fan, avoid at all cost. There is no talking sense to these folks. You will just get frustrated. No amount of reason and respectfulness works with these people.
UNFOLLOW. MUTE. BLOCK. Do not even talk to them. Just don't. Your time is too damn precious.
f) NKSleepers
They are the fans who are spies and are out to break the peace in the Korean Peninsula.
Kidding.
They are the fans who became a part of the group of a rival fandom and they break their cover during the year-end voting (intentionally or because other members find their shit stinks).
They often get caught because of their negative activities such as gathering accounts for the rival fandom, posting negative posts all of a sudden and blaming it to being hacked.
Some of them are actual hackers who attack aggressively during the year end voting season.
They are usually the ones who attack the admins.
Many admins get victimized by these fans and there is a high # of times that they are in secret voting groups before they are found out.
Their mission : spread distrust
How to fight them : IGNORE. Let admins handle them. Report suspicious members to the admins with receipts (screencap) so that you have a case vs them.
Disclaimer : They are fans who are highly skilled in lying so they can FLIP you at any time. So be careful not to get flipped. Ask help from a trusted Admin and tell your case as soon as possible.
Report immediately if you feel like someone would flip you.
It never hurts to have a trusted member vouch for you.
g) Free Data Fan
They are unable to vote and view MVs during the voting time.
They need to go to a shop to vote and can only participate at randoms times.
Please get WIFI guys. Kidding. <3
h) Clapper Club
These are the fans I dislike the most. They come out only when the group or the voting has already finished.
They didn't watch the MV not once during the comeback and didn't tweet a single thing. They downloaded illegally and never casted a single vote.
Basically worse fans than the born haters since they didn't lift a finger but act as if they were the ones who made their idols win.

Fangirling 101 : COVER GROUP FANGIRLING
Disclaimer : This is from my own experience and how I actually did it.
How you do it, would be up to you. Whatever works for you. ^^
1) Tanggalin ang lahat ng #landi sa katawan.
Kung hindi mo sila pinagnanasahan ng sagad, hindi sila maasiwa sa iyo pag nagfafangirl ka.
Treat them like brothers and not as oppas. ^^
2) Always bring extra food and drinks kapag me event.
(I actually do this kasi BikBaeng and YG family stans always eat when we hang out together. Blackjack Blacksheeps dongsaengs and I usually also bring food to events to share with each other. Mas tipid kasi and #poorfans kami dati so hindi uso ang eat out, now na lang na me mga work na sila)
3) Make sure to have a "care package" for all the members of the CG and not just your "bias".
Most nice and non-user friendly CG members and groups are really appreciative of this. Kasi minsan (lalo na ung mga nagsisimula pa lang) they only go to events with enough money for transpo and for registration etc. They don't get paid and may or may not win anything. So they like it when they are shown appreciation not just in "NOTICE ME OPPA" selca mode but also food.
Remember, the best way to an oppa's kokoro is through his stomach.
BUT TAKE NOTE: Do not expect them to be too appreciative of you. Ika nga wag kayong umasa. Just do it because you want to thank them for their hard work and for helping you have a nice time at the event. Wala silang obligasyon na pansinin ka. Tao lang sila napapagod at minsan busy din magfanboy sa ibang girl group cover group.
Lahat kayo mga fans lang. So as much as they should not be pa-feymous and user-friendly, the same way dapat di kayo SASAENG MODE.
4) LOOK BUT DON'T TOUCH.
Pictures are okay. Hugs are okay IF YOU ARE CLOSE TO THE MEMBER OR PERSON. ALWAYS ASK PERMISSION FIRST. WAG SUNGGAB NG SUNGGAB.
NO KISSING THE CG MEMBERS ON ANY PART OF THE BODY. UNLESS GF KA BAWAL NA BAWAL ITO. Tatandaan ka ng member na yun at lalayuan ka na. Kasi malandi kang walang boundaries.
5) Make sure to be magalang lalo na if older ang cosplayer or cg member. ACT LIKE A LADY pero dapat ka ring maparaan.
*Don't push other fans kasi baka ung matulak mo e noona pala or gf ng cosplayer or cover group members. Mahirap silang kalabanin di ka na makakalapit pa sa cg na un if ever. Believe me I am a #noonasquad. We have a list of sasaengs and we distribute it to other fans like a APB - wanted poster - and those girls are MONITORED during events. If they come near the CG members, the noona or dongsaeng guards start to CROWD around the member or pull them away to go somewhere else. ^^
6) Be a pre-debut fan.
If you know a group that is still starting out, you can be a supporter while they are still not popular. That way, there would be less competition when it come to their attention. ^^
7) Be a good dongsaeng or noona.
You don't have to be a fan. Be a friend.
Be there for them not just as a tagapalakpak but as someone they can talk to without patronizing them too much. Minsan kailangan din nila ng realtalk. ^^
8) CHILL LANG.
Okay lang maging feeling close sa simula.
Ganyan naman talaga. Confidence lang ang kailangan so that you can approach them.
But remember that : Stalking is never cute. Sasaeng mode is ALWAYS scary.
If they can't add you or reply to you, there is a reason.
Most of the time tinatamad lang talaga sila.
9) WE ARE ALL JUST FANS HERE, keep that in mind.
Cover group people / cosplayers are just fanboys and fangirls who do cover.
Keep in mind that this is the way that they spazz.
Before cover groups were just a bunch of fans who spazz together by copying their idols. These days that have changed a lot. Some groups don't last for very long because of members not getting along. Be careful of groups like this.
A cover group must be friends first and foremost.
If they are a bunch of people looking to become popular and get girls/fanboys then they are not a good cover group to stan.
10) At the end of the day, Cover groups like idol group don't last forever. Make sure not to do or say anything you can't take back.
How you as a fangirl or fanboy treat them would influence how you can keep friends in the kpopworld. Some of these people can be great friends in the future. Or they would be memories of your youthful embarrassing days.
You never know, they might end up working in the same place where you work. So be good to them and be good to yourself so as to avoid any awkward moments. ^^
